SEWE 2011
Is this weather amazing or what? I was thrilled to be able to grab my "thought book" and a fashion mag and gaze at the ocean view this week. Believe it or not, I have actually had a chance to slow things down a bit to recall some past events. I made a vow to myself (I hate resolutions) that I was going to be visible this year. I wanted to place myself in rooms filled with people that are committed to their crafts, who are positive and vibrant professionals. I am happy to report that I have been on it this year ladies! If it wasn't a Chamber of Commerce meeting, it was the Grand Opening of the Crowne Plaza www.crowneplaza.com/charlestonsc , don't want to forget to mention the SCStyle Workshop.
A BACKWARD GLANCE

The Grand Opening was so much fun, saw some familiar faces and made some new friends. They served a classic dish of shrimp and grits that was a major hit, definitely a Charleston favorite! |

There I am down on the end snapping away. |

Watch Out For
Take a look at something that has been going on in London and Japan since 2008! Slowly but surely they are popping up in the States. Can you imagine vending machines that sell make-up, sneakers, and get this, high heels! I read about a Macy's in Texas that had an ipod vending machine right next to ladies shoes! They have even placed book vending machines in Italian train stations and airports, look out Charleston International!
WHAT'S AHEAD
Moving forward to present day, here is what's on the social calendar in the Lowcountry.
Watch Out For
Streets of Japan
London- Rollasole Ballet Flats
Located in clubs and restaurants
Ladies, we know those 4 inch heels are hot, but they are a workout for our feet. This is a genius idea, wouldn't these come in handy for a mile long hike back to the parking garage at midnight?
London (Carnaby Street)
Holds 24 pairs of Onitsuka Tigers
Sephora Vending Machine
How cool is this?
